As others have said - EWGs for Brush Hogs, etc - basically anything long and skinny. For Beavers, a straight shank wide gap. As others have said though, they're murder on plastics. I buy beaver type baits in 50 ct bags...

These are my favorite heavy cover flipping hooks. I have great success with these, I don't even look at other hooks for this technique. For light duty flipping and general pitching I use either a Owner Wide Gap Plus or a regular offset shank round bend Gammy. No problems so far, really don't have a problem hooking fish on any of these three hooks.
