Which gloves do you use for fishing in cold temps?

Post by njbasscat » Thu Mar 31, 2011 11:09 am

I have tried neoprene but they lack feel and are bulky. I have cut fingers out of my hunting gloves but exposed fingers get to numb. I got a pair of Under Armor gloves from Dicks last fall and love them. They are thin but pretty warm and I can cast with them on. What gloves do you like and why ?

I don't keep gloves on while I fish but I have a pair of neoprenes to warm my hands when necessary.

My go-to glove is the Simms fingerless fleece with Windstopper.

I have a pair in my boat at all times. I have a pair in my hunting pack at all times. They are the glove I won't be without.

They aren't a glove for all occassions and every situation. No glove is. But, they are the glove I never want to be without because they do the job most of the time for me.

Especially when hunting, if they're not quite warm enough on the fingertips, I'll put on a thin pair of polypropylene liner gloves and that makes all the difference in the world.

I wear the Simms half finger windshear gloves while wading in the winter in Texas and Louisiana. They are warm and work quite well.

Been using under armour liner gloves. Not super warm but thin enough to use a baitcast with, then I will put a pair of fingerless over them if needed
