Probably no more than putting a spinning reel to a baitcasting rod or vice versa. :big grin:
slip bobbing is the laziest way to fish

Keep referring to your "Exceler" as, my little Shimano. They should get along just fine.

Actually I was considering referring to the Compre as a baby G. Loomis rod. 8-)

I think you'll be safe.

I have a Chronarch Mg51 mounted on the 6' Steez rod, and my face hasn't melted like the nazis' in Raiders.

PX68 on a 6'5" Cumulus and a Curado 201E7 on a Daiwa 6'5" Flexlite. Maybe a little smoke but no sparks or open flames yet. ;)

I forgot to add that my Antares AR has found a home on the 7' M Zillion rod, and none of this yet:

I was thinking how nice that new finesse Alphas would look on a Cumulus. :D

What is funny is that it just seems more "wrong" than something like putting a non-Abu reel on a Veritas.

A Core on a Zillion or a Fuego with a CI4 seem like they would be nice "hybrids" as well.
