Here in France there are some brand with good reputation :
- Terenzio : available in a "triangle" taper, called AT taper, http://www.terenziosilklines.com/ , italian language only
- Pêche à soie : english website, triangle taper also, called PP taper, http://www.pecheasoie.com/soiesdepeche/pp,EN
- Jean-Pierre Thébault : very fine silk line, classic tapers, english website, http://www.jpthebault.com/jpth-gb-index.htm
- Phoenix line : classic tapers, http://www.phoenixlines.com/

From what I have seen and tried, for my needs, the Terenzio AT taper is a very good product, in natural or artificial silk. Terenzio can customize the line color and the one I've tried was a quite bright yellow.

First you have to determine what are your needs, and what kind of fishing you want to do.
