Brown Trout Fishing

Post by rubs96 » Sat Oct 06, 2012 3:53 pm

Went out on what is considered to be one of the best rivers for Browns in North America (Grand River) for the closer (the last day of the season). Biggest one caught by me was 15". My buddy got one that measured in at 20".

Got to test out my new waders, boots, and a new fly combo.

Fantastic day on the water.

Congrats on a beautiful brown!

Don't have too many watersheds in SoCal that have them, so going up to the Eastern Sierras is our best bet.

Nice brown! What's the new combo? I only trout fished once last summer.

It wasn't mine to keep but it was a Scientific Angler #5 weight combo I believe. It's hard for me to remember now! Using pupas...
