I remember a show where the showed people who were catching tarpon with their hands, almost like noodling. I don't remember exactly what they did, but they would get the tarpon to come up and strike their hand, at which point they would grab the thing and land it. I think some of them would wear a sort of rash-guard on their arm. Those who didn't got some nice abrasions (like bass-thumb on your whole forearm).

Germans are fearless :D . Btw the float tubes are safer as some people think about it. The locals are use to catch tarpons from dugout canoes. Anyway this is a short but great movie!
