Re: Sage fly reels
I have the 3100 and 3200 series reels on my Sage TXL 1wt and 2wt rods, they are stamped "Made in USA" on the spool inside surface.
The lower priced (under $100) Sage reels, I cannot say the country of manufacture.

Re: Sage fly reels
Actually production of the high-end 3000-series has been outsourced to Korea. I have one of the first model 3200 reels from 1995 (made by Lamson-Waterworks) which as stated is stamped with "made in USA" inside the spool also features a serialnumber.FK wrote:I have the 3100 and 3200 series reels on my Sage TXL 1wt and 2wt rods, they are stamped "Made in USA" on the spool inside surface.

The korean made ones aren't serialized, but the quality appears to be as good as the early US made reels.
