Okuma guide series surf rod ?

Could this rod series be used for occasional surf casting , or would it tent to rust too quickly ?

I'm no saltwater expert myself but do enjoy the occasional surf fishing while on vacation. From searching and reading saltwater forums and personal experience, any rod can be used to fish the surf. As long as you rinse your rod and reel with freshwater, after your day of fishing.
I've taken salmon spinning rods and medium bass spinning rods down to fish the surf, rinsed them off, and brought them back home with no problems. No rust issues whatsoever.
