Been throwing it on 80# test braid due to not wanting a breakoff. Did try it on some PF in 25# and it seems to have a better glide to it.

In lakes with striper and bass, 25# mono. In bass only water it gets 20# flouro, which I think provides the best action.

One of my backseaters fishes it extensively. I went out with him for a few hours in his new to him 2008 Ranger in November. He caught a 10.5 that day on 20lb. Super Natural. He is not afraid to throw 8" baits on 15 or smaller 20lb. line. He broke out a $400 Mother and started throwing it on mono in submerged trees from my backseat last year. I only have a small plug knocker. The guy is not afraid.

#30 Daiwa samurai braid it's the same size as #6 Mono and you can pull a stump with it.

You're fishing a 6.5 oz bait on 30 pound braid? Are you kidding or are you talking about the 115 or something. 30# braid would snap on a cast faster than 6lb mono. Contrary to what some believe, you're less likely to cast off a bait with mono since it doesn't dig into itself as much and won't cut itself like braid will.

I fish the SS 250 on 20-25 lb P-Line PF.

Sorry no I'm throwing the 175 with no problems at all. No P-Line for me way to thick.

I use the 25# P-line CXX. Have tried the 30 but glides better with the 25.

Okay, that makes more sense but I'd still be extremely careful and probably step up to at least 65. I've snapped 80lb before so just be warmed. Have you tried the PF? It's actually very, very thin compared to their other lines, as well as all others on the market. It's thinner than a lot of flouros too.

Going to go with Sunline Supernatural Mono in 25 and 30 if it's good enough for the T.T guys it's good enough for me.
