9.5" 6.3 oz baby bass made by my buddy Joe. I can't wait to throw that baby this spring. We're hoping to find some open water next week to test it out. How many of you guys are throwing baits that big and on what?

I have fished baits up to 13" on my LDC XXH. Even quadhudd rigs (Rago baitball w/ 4 8" hudds)
I often fish baits up to 10", it is standard CA tackkle down here...
That bass has me drooling...

The heaviest thing I throw is a Bulldawg, and the toughest retrieve is a double 10.

I have been throwing the 9" Bull Shad on 30# p-line CXX, an ABU Ambassedeur 6600C4 reel that has been tuned and Boca Bearing and etc. The rod is an Shimano Swimbait rod 7'11" XH. So far it has worked alright but have been thinking about going to 80# 832 braid. Just received the swimbaits from Joe and going to throw the Creek Chub this weekend on P-Line 25# an ABU Ambasseduer 5500 Reel that has been tuned and boca bearinbg added and Shimano Swimbait Rod 7"11" H. cjtoad will let you and Joe know how it does.
