Black Dog Baits
Black Dog Baits
I received a few new baits from Black Dog Baits today.. I put in a order with them after me initial success with them on 6-30-07.. I was fishing the shell cracker (f) by throwing it over humps and drop off and dead sticking it with the occasional twitch. The blow ups were incredible.. it would sit bobbing up and down in the slight chop and WHAM these fish would come up from the deep and crush it.. I was using the Daiwa Big Bait Special on the Powell 711MH and 20lb Gamma test.. Of course I was looking for the lunker of the lake yet these 2 and 3lb bass would come up and crush it.. The conditions were overcast with a slight wind.
Here is some pics of the baits (Shell Cracker, Lunker Plunker and Lunker Plunker jr) click on the pics for larger view

Re: Black Dog Baits
I'm saving up for a shellcracker. I think these baits will be killer in the fall.

Wise man... the strikes were explosive.. they just blasted this bait from below.. even though they were smaller fish my heart was pumping.. I can't wait to try this Lunker Plunker ... I think I'm going to take baby steps and use the JR first..KoYak wrote:I'm saving up for a shellcracker. I think these baits will be killer in the fall.

Great report dave! What does that finger sign mean?
I have one of the Bluegills but no catches yet. Of course, I haven't thrown it lately either as I've been trying Matt's wooden Bass.

Dan... don't ask. Next thing you know, he's going to try and recruit you to start holding your fish the same way he does!Lightninrod wrote:Great report dave! What does that finger sign mean?

Very nice Dave.
I don't have any of those but they are on my list.
The season should not be over before we go out together, either to your clear waters or to my nasty mess
