JDM Metanium issue

Post by cubs23 » Wed Mar 13, 2019 3:08 pm

I bought a Metanium last spring and really liked it a lot. But about halfway into the season it developed a grindy feeling. It just doesn't feel as buttery smooth as my other Shimanos. Since I'm afraid to disassemble a $400 reel I took it into a tackle shop/service center, along with a few other reels to get cleaned and lubed. Unfortunately it did not help. Can you please give me some advice on how to fix this problem?

Thanks, I called the Tackle Trap to discuss this issue and everyone with knowledge on this problem is gone until Monday. They all took a road trip to Knoxville for the BMC.

You can send the reel directly to us for repair since this is a global model.

Just what I was thinking.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
