Re: New Antares MGL
Any other ratios in the future? A low gear ratio would be sweet. I bet the high end low ratio is covered with the ConquestBantam1 wrote:http://fish.shimano.com/content/fish/no ... RES_A.html

Why no lefty??
Re: New Antares MGL
The sales are just too low for left hand models in the US, especially in Antares.

Re: New Antares MGL
Is this Antares 70MGL's reel body smaller than the new Antares coming out in Japan? Just like how the Curado 70's body is always smaller? Shimano Japan site seems to only have the larger MGL3 spool.Bantam1 wrote:http://fish.shimano.com/content/fish/no ... RES_A.html

The body is smaller. The model in Japan is the 70 size.

Re: New Antares MGL
Will it be approved for saltwater use?
Re: New Antares MGL
No this reel is for freshwater only like the previous model. Magnesium and plated parts do not get along in saltwater.

I do not have that data yet. I have only played with the prototype and not the production reel. We will not have them until March/April.
