I have several old Chronarch MG 50 baitcasters. They are some of my favorite reels.
I have a two part question.
Will they hold up if I fish them with heavier line, like braid, and, if not, is there something I can do to upgrade them so that they will hold up?

They will hold up, but we are very limited on parts for these reels. Gears have been discontinued for several years now. Keep that in mind.

I'll keep them for my fluoro setups, and open water.
