Bantam,

I am wondering why the new conquest brake system changed back to VBS from SVS? I have no problem with VBS, just curious

Yes it is VBS in the Conquest A model due to the synchronized level wind. It would not work with the SVS brake system due to how it is designed. Casting the same lures side by side I noticed zero change in casting distance or performance between the two.

agree. I have many shimano baitcasting reels, braking systems are from VBS, SVS, infiniti SVS etc... to me all perform great =D> =D> =D> . as long as it's centrifugal brake systems I am fine (sorry Daiwa!!)
