=D> I think I see a swap in my future. Are you able to post the Met weight post swap? Definitely want at least one, but for some others I am considering, the rods are really finicky with reel weights.

Thanks!

I haven't read the other thread, but I do know that the conversion kit available at The Tackle Trap fits and works. That's the real story!
The pinion in the K is slightly different I believe (from Bryan), but the stock Met pinion matches perfectly with the K drive gear. A great development and well done Tackletrap for getting it sorted!

Has Bantam chimed in on this yet??? Seems to be a legit and reliable fit, just was surprised to not see any feedback or confirmation.

From the other thread....

@BRONZEBACK32

The MGL does not have a metal pawl.

The pinion gear material is slightly harder for the aluminum drive gear of the Metanium. We do not recommend just changing the drive gear as the gears may not feel as smooth as they should. The gears are based on Metanium but there are some slight differences. I have not had a chance to perform long term testing just yet.

So change the pinion and the main gear, right??? I figure if I finally try a JDM Metanium or a USDM one, it will be plenty tough stock. I just would like the OPTION to upgrade.
