Exsense Spinning Reel

Post by nolegsinmiami » Fri Sep 15, 2017 2:14 pm

I use the Stella FI as my inshore reels - would there by any reason to try the new Exsense Spinning Reels?

The Exsence has some water resistance features that the Stella FI does not have. The only negative I heard is that the line capacity is less than that of the Stella. These reels were made for Japanese Seabass fishing in saltwater/brackish water. The Stella does have more bearings. Essentially the Exsence is a spec down Stella with some slight changes to make it more water resistant.

IMHO.

It is not only about casting, reeling, fighting the fish, but also
joy and taste while fishing.

Many after market tune up handles ,spools, knobs are not as good as stock one.

Some of them are even heavier!

It is something about fashion.

I can fish trout, barramundi, snakehead with only one 6.3ft spinning rod
paired with stradic fk 1000.

But I feel more fun with trout when I use cardiff ci4+ c2000hgs paired with cardiff area limited 1.5-4 lb test rod.

Stradic 1000hgfb paired with 7.6 ft lrf rod for UL inshore fishing.

Stradic 1000fa paired with 6ft 3-5lb rod for jungle perch.

It is like you can go anywhere by toyota altis equally with Lamborghini.

But believe me feeling is not the same.

(Many details like gear ratio, finish, spool depth, spool diameters are the small facts that gather
and the express into one "specific" reel.)
