Re: Chronach G
This is for those that want to use a Chronarch for fresh and salt water. The Chronarch MGL is designed for freshwater due to the lightweight Magnumlite spool.

Ya ... I hit him up not to leave us hanging in the rumor mill thread and he didn't bite !Bootytrain wrote:Ok time to spill the rest of the beans lol...cndbasshunter wrote:This is for those that want to use a Chronarch for fresh and salt water. The ice has been broken ... what else is there ????
Re: Chronach G
I think this reel is the more in-line true "Chronarch" since it has holds the continued letter denomination. I hope it's every bit as good as the MGL with the added benefit of aluminum. Keep it classic like the SF and the D series and this could be a winner! I am excited to see it.
A new Sustain also seems to be in the works...

Re: Chronach G
Aside from just a spool difference ... if this thing is aluminum I'm all in !

Re: Chronach G
I never really even glanced at the Chronarch MGL, but the possibility of an aluminum Chronarch definitely has my attention

Same can be said for the tatula...LgMouthGambler wrote:Really? How many versions of this thing we gonna need?
Re: Chronach G
I would much prefer the aluminum version of the Chronarch to keep the lineage with the classic models. Don't get me wrong, the Ci4+ material is nice but aluminum I think would be more solid. Keep all the principles of the MGL and just replace the carbon-based material with metal. The G reel may actually cut further into sales of the Metanium MGL.

Re: Chronach G
Maybe, but it depends on that spool weight. If they managed to fit those spool dimensions into the current frame size that would be genius.Big-Bass wrote:I would much prefer the aluminum version of the Chronarch to keep the lineage with the classic models. Re: Chronach G
The G series has a different spool material and some other small changes to increase corrosion resistance. The MGL is not recommended for use in saltwater due to components we changed to reduce weight.
The reels are a different color as well. I will post everything once I have a good update picture of the reel. I will post all of the new ICAST info once it happens.
