Shimano high end cranker

Post by pharmboy » Mon May 04, 2015 11:02 am

Trying to decide between a calcutta CQ 100 5.2:1 and an Antares 5.6:1 for med/deep cranking and smaller swim baits up to 2 oz. Wondering if theres anyone out there that have fished both and have a recommendation? I wish I could handle either but local shops no longer stock high end stuff and can only special order. thanks

It would be better if you could put the reels in your hand and see how they feel. The Conquest is really, really smooth. It helps with the feel of the crank or swimbait. Both are good choices.

I have both and my vote goes to the Conquest. Has more power and is smaller. Both are fantastic!
