Bantam1's new position

Post by Bantam1 » Tue Feb 24, 2015 7:40 am

I wanted to let everyone know that my position has changed. I am now the lure product manager for Shimano and Jackall. I will also be assuming the role of line product manager for Power Pro at some point in the future.

I will still be covering the forums like I have been since January (when my role actually changed). Eventually someone will be replacing me here on TT as my time will become much more limited. I asked to keep my screen name, but that may or may not happen. Regardless, it has been a good run. I never imagined we (Shimano) would still be here almost 8 years later. I wanted to thank everyone for their support of all the Shimano brands and for making my time here enjoyable. I will try to pop in here and there when I see a situation needs my input, or my humor.

I realize that my replacement will have some big shoes to fill. All I ask is that you show that person respect until they figure out what this forum is about.

Once again thank you to everyone here on TT!

Dan

I'm not Mr. Excitement like some of the other people here. That's not my strength at all. I will do my best next time.

Your help and insight here has been most helpful to all of us. We sure will miss having you to fall back on when situations arise. We are definitely loosing a great asset here on TT.

Thanks for always handling things in the most respectful and professional manner as possible. I've seen a few of us really lash out or become aggravated and you've always settled the dust and worked with us until a solution was reached or a answer was found !

You will definitely continue to rise in your future challenges.

Best wishes and please stop in and give a shout on here every now and then ...

Jeff

Congrats!

Just curious, but is being here on TT in the job description or was it all voluntary? What made you think Shimano wasnt going to make it this far 8yrs ago? The bad economy?
