A collaboration between Jackall and Shimano Japan brings the latest in technology in fishing rods. The actions were designed to be paired with Jackall hard and soft baits.

•Spiral X Construction
•CI4 Reel Seat
•Carbon Monocoque butt section
•Available Lengths - 6'6" - 7'6"

Spiral X Construction

By rolling carbon tape both on the inside and outside of the blank, running in different directions to form an ‘X’ pattern, this unique construction process provides for reinforced torsional and compression rigidity. The design contributes to a lightweight, thin wall blank, one that rejects ‘ovalization’ so rod strength is exceptional under load.

CI4 Reel Seat

Contributes to the overall lightness of the rod, plus increases sensitivity from the rod through the reel seat to an angler’s hand.

Carbon Monocoque Butt Section

Exclusive design eliminates rod butt components for further lightweight feel and extreme sensitivity.

(Actions listed in bold)
Rod models over 6'10" in length are two piece. The connection is at the reel seat under the locking ring.

Thanks for posting this information Dan. What material are the guide frames (titanium, stainless) and what material for the rings? Thanks

Not sure if anyone has held or fished the 7'2" HMF. I am wondering if the rod feels like a true heavy with little tip play. I am hoping for a heavy action and a softer tip for sensitivity with Jigs. From other posts I have seen that a few have noted the Expride 72 MHF to be a bit on the heavy side so I definitely want a review before ordering...thanks TT

As with most of the Japanese rods, the actions are typically fast with the power increasing with M, MH and H. The tip loads easily so they cast well.

I was able to compare these two rods today at a Shimano/Gloomis rep sample show today. Power and taper were pretty much identical and I know some have noted they actually like the Expride a little more but I came away feeling the opposite. Both fabulous rods and don't regret my Expride purchase one bit but IMO the Adrena blank felt a tad more crisp/responsive in my hands and can honestly say I had the same feeling when comparing other rods of each. The 6'10" in both series put a very big smile on my face will own one very soon. Can't wait till next years show when these will actually be available during the sample sale but for now will have to be content with my 2 sealed NIB Metaniums and NRX 842S :big grin:
