Calais discontinued?

Calais discontinued?

I noticed that the calais has been dropped from the shimano site except for the dc version. Has it been discontinued?

It has been discontinued. We now only offer the DC model.

Bantam1 What was the reason to do away with it? That is one sweet reel. how long will they still stock parts for it?

Japan discontinued the tooling for their new model. We did not bring the new model over due to the cost. It would have been in the same range as the DC and does not offer any improvement in performance over the DC.
