shimano 100's and gearing?

shimano 100's and gearing?

are the CORE reels the only 100 sized reels with HEG, or are there others?

They are only available in the 100 size with HEG gearing.

thanks bantam1. are there major differences in performance between HEG and standard gearing?

The HEG will allow you to crank on fish or lures with much less effort. The HEG consists is oversized gearing. By increasing the diameter of the gears it allows you to acheive greater cranking power.

Fish a big DD22 or 3/4 Fat Free Shad all day with a standard Curado 200B. Then try it with the new Curado 200D and you will see (or feel) the difference. :D

other 100-size reels using HEG would the antares ar/calais 100a, conquest/calcutta 100DC, and of course the previous '05 metanium/chronarch 100B series...
