Info. on Shimano Fireblood?

Post by Fishingboy » Mon Jul 16, 2007 8:27 am

Bantam1,

We've recently come to know of the existance of a new line of shimano rod/reels, known as the Fireblood. Was wondering if the fireblood series is bass specific? Any information regarding the fireblood would be great, especially the super lightweight FBL1000FA spinning reel ;)

This model is not going to be released in the US. It will be a Europe, Australia and Japan model only. I do not know much about it except it is below the Stella as far as features and pricing.

the Fireblood range has just been released here at the Australian Fishing Tackle Association show. I don't know how long before it is in store but it sure looks good. the reels sit between the Stella and the Aspire. New looks and design features flow down from the Stella and Fireblood to the Sustain and Stradic and a new model pops in below Stradic. Aspire and Twinpower stay the same.
Cheers roo

So here in Oz we still have to wait for Paladin and Propulsion? That sucks!

No all the new features are part of the specs on the new and updated models. Except the new model below the stradic, i don't think it gets all the fruit.

The Saros has Paladin gearing and the Propulsion Line Management system. It just does not have the Aerowrap II feature, instead it uses an oscillation gear like the Symetre.

The Fireblood is pretty much the Stella FD minus a few bearings. It is the same reel as the Sephia from the Japan market I think. I do not have the specs on this reel, but after asking the people that are here from SIC this was the answer I was given.

I really like the looks of these. I will be ordering a 1000, and a SFB24ML. The fossil wood reel seats are trick. fuji ti sic guides are standard . It has a really trick custom balance system with a key. I like the unique anodized components. It just has a lot of little features that stand out to me. I have never been a big fan of shimano, or daiwa rod offerings. To be honest I have never thought to much of them functionally, or creatively. I have always felt they should stick to reels. However, I like what I see here.

Serial numbers allow you to individually register and recieve extras. Shimano is really putting a exciting and FUN series together here. =D>

Wow! A Flame of Desire rod and reel.

I showed that to my wife, and she said that after 50 years of marriage my flame went out years ago.

There is a light and ultra light rod being offered in this line for sale in Australia. Along with a 1000, 2500 and 4000 size reel. The ul rod is 7'2 one piece and rated for lures 1-9g and line wieghts of 1-2kg, the light rod is 6'9 lure rated for 2-10g and line weights 2-4kg. I want a 1000FA reel for sure...the rod might just cost to much to ship over.....Unless someone else wnats one also and we can split the costs. My printer is broken or I would scan in the pictures of the rods....Very Nice looking for sure.

"Europe" means "Lithuania" too, but those rods will cost a lot of money...I'm sure. Etc. Shimano Lesath costs 600 American $ here...
