Scorpion drag

Post by SkeeteRich » Sun Jul 02, 2006 5:37 pm

Scorpion 1001 reel. I have to tighten the drag almost with a pair of pliers to keep it tight. What do I need to fix this problem. Thanks......Rich

IT sounds like the drag spring washers are on wrong. pull the handle and star drag and check to ensure they are on right.

Either that or you have oil/water on the drag washers themselves.

I'd also recommend going here: www.smoothdrag.com/index.html

I'd send them an email or just call them and see if they have carbontex drag washers for your reel.
