Conquest BFS micro gears w/ Avail 16ald15r spool.
Aldebaran BFS to me is the benchmark of bfs reels currently on the market. Lightweight, consistent casting and decently priced. Haven’t been fishing my Aldebaran much because I’ve been spoiled by the buttery smooth Steez CT and Air. Don’t get me wrong... the Aldebaran is very smooth but Steez CT/Air is on another level. Seen a post in this group a member using Aldebaran gears in his conquest to achieve the higher gear ratio and gave me the idea to use the micro gears in my Aldebaran. For my style of fishing I’m not too worried about gear ratio. I fish rather slow but I love reels that are ultra smooth so I can have the best feedback possible to what my lure is doing and to feel even the lightest bite.
No modifications needed to use these micro gears. Just need the main gear and pinion gear and it drops right in. The brass gears are 9.1 grams heavier but reel still weighing in at 136.4 grams (4.81 oz).

Left hand reel :
1 x Parts_2017 CALCUTTA CONQUEST BFS HG-L No.0046 (03676) = 2,805YEN
1 x Parts_2017 CALCUTTA CONQUEST BFS HG-L No.0063 (03676) = 2,255YEN
Simply amazing! The retrieve is so silky smooth now and has a very connected feeling with slightest turn of the reel handle. Just as smooth as my Steez CT but a different feel. Steez CT has a Airy feeling compared to the Aldebaran connected controlled feel. Aldebaran has better ergo for my hands, consistent casting and now butter smooth retrieve. Definitely worth every penny on this gear mod.

I guess putting Aldebaran BFS XG gears in the Conquest would be a way to speed the Conquest up.
