That doesn't sound right, it should hold more then 60 yards of 30lb fireline....
How much backing do you have on the reel?

0.15 dia is like 50lb sunline briad.

Did you buy it new? If not, maybe the reel came with an aftermarket shallower spool to begin with....?1nutinthewater wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 8:14 am1nutinthewater wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2019 7:11 amLooking for more line capacity- Spooled with 30# Fireline Ultra 8 it only holds about 60 yards and i know a salmon is going to spool me any day..............

Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Either put good 30lb braid that isnt .015 diam, or drop to a thinner line.

This. I’d put some calipers on that line and see what the actual diameter is. No way that reel holds less line than a 50.LgMouthGambler wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 8:38 amEither put good 30lb braid that isnt .015 diam, or drop to a thinner line.

Problem solved- Removed the line and taking it out of commission to send in and see if the clutch can be made easier to depress. Sweet reel- probably my favorite for now but have not had a chance to take out the new morethan PE.
