Spool Spacers

Post by white84z » Mon Sep 30, 2019 8:58 pm

Does anyone know where I may be able to find some spool spacers? I'd like to get some for an OG Zillion to use a 34mm spool. I'd also like to get a set for the 33mm alphas platform to use the new 30mm spool.

Good luck finding the 36 to 34mm spacers for your zillion.. They were produced for a very short time and not many people will part with theirs.

The 33 to 30mm will not exist, and wouldn't work too well since the 30mm spool is also narrower than the standard sized spool. You would also need to swap out the worm drive so the line doesn't lay up and over the spool edge.

...and a new gear set since the pinion is longer.
This is the way.

There is a member here that is a machinist. I dont want to call him out, but I'll let him know about this thread.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I did not know it was narrower, thanks for the heads up!

Thanks! He can shoot me a pm if he wants to. I love the OG Zillion platform but the spools leave a lot to be desired.
