Daiwa 104? Japantackle has some. Currently sold out but you can mail them and they'll get it back in stock in a week or two.poisonokie wrote:Where do you get the Daiwa white grease? Good to know. I like the blue grease for gears, but it's really to heavy for the levelwind and spool shaft ends.SSS wrote:Daiwa 104? Japantackle has some. Cals Tan grease for carbontex and Felt drag washers and on gears. TSI-321 synthetic oil for bearings , level wind worm and one way clutch bearings.
Re: Best grease and oil for servicing reels. 2019 edition.
For freshwater reels , I'm using Maxima Waterproof grease and TSI 321 oil. For saltwater reels , Corrosion X grease and Reel X oil or Clenzoil for bearings.

I have this stupid or weird question that popped out in my mind, but it's kinda realistic though.
Are gun oil/lubes like in this review: https://gunnewsdaily.com/reviews/best-g ... ning-kits/ can be used in servicing/cleaning reels? I just wanted to be practical. I'm a pro hunter and I love fishing too.
Let me know what you think! I'm excited to see answers here. It's like a survey thing.
Thanks:)

Do we get the bearing to spin fast enough to really worry about which kind of oil we use, as long as it's reel oil?
Re: Best grease and oil for servicing reels. 2019 edition.
The average angler does not worry about the free spin time of their spool bearings, so any oil, 3in1 machine oil especially, will be fine.
For those on TT, the oil is of paramount importance, as it is a test of how well the tech serviced your reel !!
Cheers.
