Does the width of the bearing matter?
I need a 3x7x2.5 bearing for my Avail 16ALD15 spool.
Could I use a 3x7x3 bearing? I am not able to find any BFS bearings that are 3x7x2.5.
Thanks.

Re: Spool Bearing Question
I would imagine that it being too thick will be an issue, but there is only one way to find out.

Problem is that I don't want to buy a bearing just to try it out.LgMouthGambler wrote:I would imagine that it being too thick will be an issue, but there is only one way to find out.
Maybe I will try it out, half millimeter thickness shouldn't make a difference as long as the ID and OD match up.

Re: Spool Bearing Question
Does the bearing move on the spool shaft? It should only insert into the frame a certain distance and stop(can only move certain distance towards pinion). If there is room for the whole bearing to move away from the spool pin I would think it would be fine since there is nothing to come in contact with. Would just be hanging out of the bearing slot in the reels frame slightly.
