Have a steez ex started making scratchy noise on the retrieve and now feel a binding or slight friction on retrieve; my guess is maybe issues with the gears, any suggestion or fix. Love the reel and how it cast, any fix to maintain this reel for longer use.

It could be a few things causing your issue. Most likely it’s a dirty or failing bearing, but could also be a worm gear set. You can send it in to us at The Tackle Trap and we will go through it top to bottom and make it better than new.
