Any chance they’ll come out with 8 or 9:1 gears for td-z 103ml?

I've been wanting higher TD-Z speed for years myself... Unless by some stroke of genius, Daiwa decides to do a commemorative edition 8 or 9 ratio TD-Z at some point in the future, or some industrious individual with access to some nice machinery and decides to build them, I don't think so.vertigo wrote:Just curious.

Us righties over here are looking at this post like "We'd be stoked just to have 7.1 gears"

I think they're reached the maximum gear rain for that size gear box. I don't know how much smaller they could go on the pinion without compromising the gear mesh.
