TDZ 103ML Swept handle upgrade ?

Post by Jayce » Thu Jul 13, 2017 4:15 pm

Hi,

What do I need ?

I saw a Basszone CF on a local store but not sure if I need more parts to make it work.
I can't open the package to check since the shop won't let me do it.
It's a 90mm swept handle and the seller says its a model A for daiwa reels.
I like to keep the stock star if possible since I only need a longer handle.

I read on forums that some need a washer, a handle collar on some handles, and a few more this and that.

So what do I need guys ?

Thanx

I just put a 100 mm swept Tatula handle on my TD-Ito. I needed to add one washer between the handle and the drag star. It's not terribly noticeable. Just be careful cranking down the handle nut and don't get it too tight or you'll bend that washer.

You will need a swept drag star also. The Tatula or Zillion drag stars work fine

I'd advise against the washer. It will work with some less swept handles, but as stated you run the risk of bending it. You will need a drag star that will accept a swept handle. The TackleTrap has many to choose from at reasonable prices. You may also need a handle collar for said drag star, also available at the TT.
