Have used it before on the inside of my reels with great results.

While i havent used it on a worm drive outside of a reel in a baitcaster due to converting to a modified oil, i would say that the stuff would be perfect due to its "crystal" clear nature and how water proof the stuff is!
Thank you my long lost Australian brother this stuff is great. So far the color has change to the color of Vaseline or you could say the color of Superlube but not white like it when wet. Now is a matter of time to see when this stuff drys out.

TSI 321 is fantastic for worm gears plus it lasts months. That's all I ever use now on worm gears.

I have some tsi321, I don't know if I will put the oil on black worm gears like on the SteezEx. I would probably try it on the silver worm gear on one of my reels this year to see how much I like it.

I have only ever used ReelX on my worm gears and it has worked well. TSI 321 also works well.

X2, Penn grease works great, I also have used the shimano gear grease. Neither will become milky.
