Daiwa td-x 103hvl

Post by jtesch63 » Thu Feb 06, 2014 9:57 am

Don't know if this should be here or in the JDM forum but since I'm talking about reels at least 10 years old I figured this would be the spot. Is their a difference between the TD-X HVL and the TD-X HVLA. I'm not a newbie to old Daiwa's so I assume the HVL is JDM market and the HVLA is U.S. market hence the A after the HVL. I can't really find any info on the HVL reel other than a picture on ebay and I can tell it has a different(better) handle. I always thought the JDM X's were all the air metal, cheaper versions of the Z. In fact I own a JDM TD-X 105 hl(great reel). I know I have seen JDM TD-S HVL's that are the same as U.S. TD-X's so where did the JDM TD-X HVL stand in the Daiwa lineup. I wish I could find a master list of the old Daiwa's somewhere. any info would help as I may buy the reel and trick it out a little.
