"Trippy" bail on spin reel

I serviced my Shimano stradic 2500mg a number of months ago and ever since my bail has been "trippy" - the bail closes with TOO much ease and at times if you try to add a little distance to the standard casting motion, the bail trips and the bait either slaps the water close to the boat or (if heavy bait) it breaks off. I have quickly inspected it and cannot find anything....anyone know of an easy fix?
