ABEC 7 Bearings...are they all the same???

hey guys, please help enlighten me. I see adds on the Classified forum for "ABEC 7 Bearings" and i think when one says "ABEC 7" that it refers to tolerances in production right. So are all manufacturers bearings the same? I kinda find it hard to believe that all manufacturer's products are same, i.e ABEC 7 bearing from orange seal are equivelent to another producer with ABEC 7 bearings.

Then a follow-on question: if they are not all the same...who makes the best bearings??

you should check the "maintenance and supertuning" section of this forum...I have orange seals on one of my reels and they are great, lots of people on here also use them...

It's almost like asking if all stainless steel are the same. So the quick answer is no. I don't know who's the best.

Boca OS or metal, makes no difference to me. I buy Boca because I trust them and have a track record with them. I know what Im getting and they are consistent.

Does anyone know what bearings BigGreenFish sells in there upgrade kits?

So far I have 2 sets of OS Bocas on a zillion and fuego, and I like them quite abit. Are the bearings sold by BBF comparable to the Boca Orange Seal?
