Anti-reverse for Shimano Reels

Post by Fbass » Wed Jan 31, 2007 2:37 pm

Hello everyone!
I have here two Shimano scorpion reels and both have defective anti-reverse. But it's not easy to find one. Can't find the schematics either. I'm sure it's on shimano japan website but it's a little hard to understand!!
Would anyone know where I can find that?
I'm looking for an anti-reverse for a scorpion 1501 and 1001 4x4 SVS.

Let me guess -- the handle actually turn backwards at times. Am I close? Does it happen more often when the weather is colder?? If so, it's just a matter of too much grease in the IAR Roller Clutch bearing. Clean the IAR with naphtha lighter fluid and oil with 1-2 drops of oil before reassembling.

BTW - you can use Shimano American schematics for most parts on those reels. The 1501 is the same as the Curado 201B and the 1001 is the same (except for the braking and spool) as the Curado 101B.
