Shimano 2013 Biomaster SW reels

Post by BARRAMANIAC » Sat Nov 07, 2015 2:29 pm

Does anyone here have any experience with the SW Biomaster reels , i am looking at the 10000HG in particular for popper fishing with 50lb braid. Can't justify the Stella or Twinpower for something that might get used on half a dozen trips a year.

A bit late sorry ...

Biomaster sw serie reels are good stuff from my experience with a good quality / price ratio. It is a popular model in France.

I've got a Shimano Biomaster 4000HG. I don't have an SW model. So far, it's been an excellent reel. I haven't disassembled it, or otherwise tested it under conditions that I've tested any other reels, but it's been performing flawlessly. It's used no less than 3 times per week in saltwater. It's much like a Stradic, but lighter, like the ci4+. Let me know if you have any other questions about it.
