I will buy one of these. Just wanted to see people's personal experiences and opinions to help me decide. Shimano Talica 12ii Vs Avet MXL 6/4 Raptor.

The talica 12/2 speed is the bomb. It casts small baits almost as good as a baitcaster. The drags are excellent. Last year I used it on 20 yellowfin & bluefin up to 40lbs. The annual reel service indicated zero wear on the drags. I just used it on another 4 day tuna trip without incident. That said, the Avet reels are very popular and performed equally as well on the trip
Avet makes an excellent reel. can't go wrong with either

Talica all day. I've never fished the Avets though but my Talica handles tuna and oversize sturgeon. I cast it just as well as my Trinidads.
