Spinning or Baitcasting

What are the advantages of using spinning or baitcasting for
saltwater fishing?
I watch on TV and when they fish in Florida, maybe inshore/flats,
they like to use spinning reels. Why not baitcasting?

Its just preference. I prefer bait casting reels, since I love surf fishing. They give you greater distance when casting(sometimes the fishes are just way out there and you need a 200 yd cast), and more control of your cast. Plus very very smooooooth. I like the drag control on the penn reels awesome.
