Post by wtuna » Mon Nov 21, 2011 10:35 am

Has anyone used the curado 300e for surf casting? I want a low profile reel for my 10ft surf rod but thers not much options out there that has the line capacity.

Have you looked into the Revo Toro? Either one would probably work well for you.

I have a curado 200 I have used many times in saltwater with no ill effect and the Toro also.

Revo Toro is excellent choice: brass gear, strong drag, designed for saltwater, more than reasonable price for all advantages... If similar reel make Daiwa or Shimano it would cost twice.

FYI- new 300Es are approx @250 and the Toro 50 is 270.

So If new 300Es will in the future have Revo Toro quality it will cost about $500...
