OC Tuna Tournement (july 15) 3rd place finish

I'm new to the boards but thought I'd share some pictures with everyone. We fished the 20th annual Ocean City (maryland) Tuna Tournement this summer and ended up taking 3rd place out of 139 boats. It was incredible to get paid to go fishing (essentially). We all took home a nice chunk of change when the tournement ended.

On Day One, we landed two dolphin around 15 pounds each and went for a while without a bite. Around noon we had a pulldown and landed our first BFT, later wieghted in 148 pounds (good for 2nd place on the day, biggest fish). About an hour later we had a pull down for our lady angler and a 50 pound bluefin tuna was landed. With 4 minutes until "Lines Out" we had a pulldown and I boated a 122 pound Bluefin after a short (tiring) fight. We ended the day in 2nd place biggest single fish and 2nd place total combined wieght.

On Day 2, excitement started early when our long rod went down around 830 and a long fight ensued. Boated was a 165 pound Bluefin Tuna and we were very excited. We had one more pull down but unfortunatly, it did not connect. This fish later took the new 2nd place for biggest single fish.

Day 3 we did not fish, but we were all very anxious. We went to the wieght-ins and found we were still in 2nd place for Total Combined Wieght and were tied for 3rd in Single Heaviest Tuna. As a few more boats came in, we were bumped out to 3rd in Total Combined Wieght by 32 pounds. It was still an incredible time, and everyone is very happy to take 3rd place in such a big tournement.
