What knot do you guys use when joining a fluro / mono leader to braided line? Do you use the albright?

thanks!

Both the albright and double uni work very well. I prefer the albright because it has a much smaller profile than the double uni.

Uni to Uni for sure. I've had the albright slip plenty of times when using braid. Could just be me but Uni to Uni has never ever slipped. I always use Albright for attaching two pieces of Mono or Mono to Flauro. JMHO

Albright works fine, I tweak it just a bit though. I only use the knot for joining a very fine braid to a much heavier mono (or wire), otherwise, it doesn't seem to hold up as well. Uni to uni works decently, but has a large profile. My select knot is a called a J-knot - VERY STRONG, very slick profile!

Both are great knots, I prefer the uni to uni, and I've found that doubling up your braid really helps when working with 40lb fluro.

I have used all of the above referenced knots and a couple of other (Bristol/bimini) but the one I have finally settled on is the slim beauty. It's a great knot.

if albright knot slip on you, try improved albright knot, it's holds the mono leader better, won't slip and very strong

Double or triple surgeon depending on line weights. Holds great and is the easiest knot to tie. 8-)

DO a search for Crazy" Alberto Knie knot, its a modified albright and its easy to tie once you get the hang of it and very effective.

Yucatan knot for braid to fluorocarbon. You have 2 strands of braid rather than one on other similar knots.
