June 7, 2003 Fishing Report.

Today's conditon:NW WINDS UP TO 10 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 2 FT.
NW SWELL 2 TO 5 FT AT 10 SECONDS. PATCHY FOG.

Really calm!!!

Met up with Ken(seasicknes), the master sports fishermen of the Pacific, his nephew Daniel, and Thomas today for some salmon fishing.
We got out late and all the party boats were already head out there ahead of us. Ken put the boat in full throttle and we were on our way to 49/49.

There we met up with Ken's fleet of bubbies, along with party boats and many others, and they had some fish in the box already. We missed the early morning bit there. So later we moved to 50/51 where we caught our limit in the hours between 9:00am to 10:30am. The bit was so hot at that time, we were rushing to get the rods back onto the water.
Daniel, 10 years old, caught the largest fish of the day.

Thanks Ken for a wonderful day!

Total of 10 hits. 1 was a shaker (small salmon below 20") and was released to grow bigger. Another one had a breif battle, but spit the hook. The other 8 salmon we netted and boated. Limits for 4 people.

Deapth of fish ranged from 30 to 45 feet.

Method of fishing: Trolling.
