My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

You guys cleaned up, but waitaminit, there aren't any pics of accompanying tackle? Blasphemy!

Very Nice... can't beat a day like that on the water..
Re: 4th of July Toads, Tails and BFT!
Those pics make me wanna lock the doors and head south! And here I am, landlocked! About as far from blue water as I could possibly be! G

I guess it would be hard to find time to bass fish with saltwater action like that. Man, looks like a fun day.
I second the blasphemy comment.

Thanks for the comments guys, the offshore action is insane right now, i'll probably just be admiring my bass gear for awhile. Sorry for the lack of details, here you go:
Fished out of Ensenada harbor, went about 50 miles west to an area between the 295 and the 1010 trench found perfect blue water and lots of activity (birds and bait), we started trolling with purple and mexican flag jet heads, cedar plugs and yo-zuri's, every lure was getting hit but the best color was purple/black. We would get 2 or 3 jig strikes and then some on bait and on the slide with fish traps. We then found the mother of all kelp paddies and it was loaded with Yellowtails and some small Bluefin Tuna's we spent a good hour on that kelp just drifting and picking up one by one by one, we left them bitting and decided to troll some more, we boxed the area and were getting steady hit's on the trollers as well as on bait and jigs. The last kelp paddy we hit started with large grade Yellowtails that turned into toad Albies, just freaking awesome.
My saltwater gear consists of the Calstar Graphiter and West Coast series rods with Avet JX and LX reels as wells as some Accurate's. I love the Avet's, there is just no better reel out there for the money.
Hope to do it again this coming Saturday.

Great photos Bud,
You can't complain when you have a day like that. Don't let that bass tackle sit too long...I hear it "rusts up on ya", if it isn't exercised at least once a week.
Cheers
