Re: A classic rod and a new reel
Even if Daiwa never made a LH orange pixy, you can always use the side plates from a TD Sol and you make your own Orange amber Pixy in left hand retrieve
I love that rod
Re: A classic rod and a new reel
You guys are killing me. My daughter thought it went best with the Sol... so maybe that will be my excuse. LOL!
Re: A classic rod and a new reel
Looks pretty slick. What do you use your new rig for?
Re: A classic rod and a new reel
That's money
Re: A classic rod and a new reel
Thanks guys! I think I am going to make it my small Neko and wacky rig combo. Sometimes this summer I will try to drop shot with it.

Lovely looking combo. Always liked the offset reel seat with a round reel. If Daiwa could do a 50 size I would be all over it. Maybe try the new Millionaire CT SV. Shoild just about disappear in your hand but still offer a very firm hold.
Re: A classic rod and a new reel
Sweet looking rig for sure. If it were mine, I'd spool it up with some 6lb cxx and throw little crankbaits with it.
Re: A classic rod and a new reel
I've heard of the Pixy reels , but never the rods. Were they matched BFS systems?
Re: A classic rod and a new reel
Yes they are. Color matched too if you can get the rod and reel from the same year.

I see your lefty orange Pixy and raise you a lefty orange Pixzilla:spencerinstl wrote:

Your reels are beautiful. My almost orange pixy is an easier option. I have to give Radu Andrei credit, his reel gave me inspiration.

Re: A classic rod and a new reel
If you don't want to pay for a paint job for the sideplates of a pixy or rob the sidplates from a sol, there is always the spruced up sol option.
