First attempt...

Post by MountainMan 83 » Sat Dec 21, 2019 10:10 am

At airbrushing a reel.

Did this for a board member to give as a Christmas present to his gf. Not too bad for the time around. Cant wait to see what future projects look like, once I know what I'm doing.

It is sort of a hot pink meets salmon. A unique chameleon like affect

The reel is:

Base Fuego CT
Daiwa smooth I shaped knobs
Spool from a Tat Anniversary

Thanks guys! It's a fluorescent hot pink color that seemed to get a little darker the more I put on. Which was a bit too much!

Did you use an airbrush gun or a spray can?

Createx primer, base and clear coat. I need to find a better automotive style lacquer top coat though.

I'm worried how it will hold up in the long run and want something with more of a gloss finish.
