August Holiday Couple Bass On A New Bait

Post by MTBF » Fri Aug 30, 2019 4:15 pm

Went away earlier in August caught some nice fish as always! Tried a new lure the Megabass Big M 4.0 and it was a blast, tried all my current rods XH Conquest 7'11H GLX went for the Compre Muskie 7'6MH last minute and it did the job perfectly. Matched it up with a TranX 200HG 25lb Sunline Assassin FC Fluoro and even on long bomb casts I still had half my spool capacity and saved ounces of weight not going to a 300. Plenty of power, the large handle works real well. Here are some pics, the old jig did some work also while away. I put a video together link is posted below if you have a few minutes have a watch 8-)

Nice. I've had a few of those in my cart for the longest. I love their Galaxy Gill color.
This is the way.

Running straight 25lb Fluoro I didn't feel the need the way fish were hitting the bait, seemed to get Pike on the back treble most of the time but perhaps in the future I'll run one. No real abrasions to the line tho seemed to handle fine. Thx for watching glad you enjoyed it!
