That one wasn't over 6, no.
Close, but not quite.
But for so early in the season, and in the cold northern waters (even for Ontario, it's quite far north), I was surprised to find a fish that fat. I had to almost take a second look to ensure it wasn't an unspawned female. (it wasn't).
Be back up in the area for a week in September....that's when the 6lbs'ers come out to play (3 of last 7 years produced a 6'er in September).
